Rhythms of Oz is a welcoming place for anyone looking to find out about the human experience of travelling through the storytelling offered by poetry. It is a blog about the traveller’s both physical and intangible journey, the people and the places they meet and what these mean to them. This is a story that week by week explores human perception of unknown places, their wildlife and people, different cultures, their traditions and views of the world.
Poetry and photography are the chosen forms to tell this story as I believe they are a powerful mean to honestly express the most intimate side of the human experience and capture it in a lasting instant.
This is why every morning I will make a creative mess, every evening I will tidy it up (or make a bigger mess!) and every week I will share with you the highlights.
This project starts in March 2025 with a one-year experiment moving out of the comfort zone of living in London to travel around Australia. You will be able to follow me and my partner in crime around the Down Under map whilst we explore, encounter, discover, or breathe in the necessary nothing in between.
